Sustainability and Social Responsibility: Why Our Hammocks Have a Soul
Imagine yourself lying in your hammock. The trees sway gently in the wind, you feel the subtle rocking beneath you – and for a moment, time stands still.
What you might not see in this moment of peace: Behind this piece of fabric are 30 years of conscious decisions. It's about materials, fair production, and the fundamental question of what a product really needs to stand for today.
Since 1996, we have been manufacturing hammocks in Bali – and from the very beginning, it was clear to us: A product that invites people to pause should itself be made with care.

Durability as resistance against throwaway culture
We don't believe in products for a single season, but in companions for a lifetime of adventures. That's why every single hammock is handmade in our own factory in Bali – from high-quality, locally sourced parachute nylon.
Before a product leaves our factory, it undergoes the strictest quality controls. We trust our craftsmanship so much that we give you a 10-year warranty and a “Love it or return it” policy. It is our statement against fast consumption.
Why there's a hammock in your backpack
Did you know that a large portion of all textile waste worldwide is already generated during production – even before a single product is sold? We decided not to accept that.
Instead of discarding offcuts, we transform strips and corners of parachute nylon directly into backpacks, bags, or frisbees. Even the smallest scraps don't end up in the trash but are processed into compact wallets.
For us, zero waste isn't a retroactive correction, but a meticulously planned circular concept from the start. Those who carry our accessories literally carry a piece of hammock with them.
Appreciation you feel in every seam
For us, sustainability is not just a label, but a promise to the people who bring our vision to life. A product that stands for freedom and relaxation must never be created under pressure or unfair conditions. That's why our wages are significantly above standard, complemented by comprehensive pension provisions and social security for the entire team.
You feel this appreciation in every detail of your equipment. It's in every seam that Ami or one of her colleagues sets with pride and precision. For us, a backpack isn't simply finished when it leaves the machine – it's only ready for the world when it carries its personal signature.
Handmade and personally signed: Every product leaves our factory with the name of its maker.
Your freedom. Our responsibility.
The next time you lie in your hammock and the world pauses for a moment, you'll now know what holds you. Not just nylon and seams, but 30 years of conviction that the way we make things makes a difference. It is this attitude that gives our products their soul.
Ticket to the Moon is not a perfect company. But since 1996, we've asked ourselves the same question every day: Can we do it even better? For the people who make our products, for you who use them, and for the planet on which we all "hang" together.
The answer is literally in your hands.
