FAIR TRADE

Made in Utopia

Cooperative, sustainable and fair

From day one, we have seen ourselves not only as manufacturers of wellness products, but also as advocates of socially responsible production conditions and fair trade at all levels . Together with the Fair Trade movement, we share the vision of greater justice, transparency, and sustainability in global trade (World Fair Trade Organization, 2009).

As a recognized partner of the World Shops in Austria, South Tyrol and Germany, we meet clear criteria along the entire production chain – including fair working conditions, environmentally conscious processes and responsible trading practices.

We have been an official member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO) since 2023.

We are moving towards our utopia honestly, consciously and with full force – for our employees, for our partners and for our planet.

High social standards

For us, fairness begins with our employees – because they are the heart of our organization.

Only together with them can we inspire people to dream and at the same time make the world a little bit better. They are our family – and Bali, where it all began, is our beloved home .

Charly, the founder of Ticket To The Moon, therefore saw himself as part of a larger whole from the very beginning and still treats his team as equals. In Bali, this also includes – quite naturally – sitting down together on the ground to discuss current topics. Therefore, involving employees in decision-making is not an extra for us; it's a given.

In addition to flat hierarchies, it's the informal and personal interaction that our team values so much—whether it's new ideas or everyday life. This includes people like Putu Agus and Made Sandi , who has worked in our production facility in Bali since 2000 and is now our production manager.

We want to create the right conditions for a good working environment – above all through fair pay that is significantly above the regional average, profit sharing, social security, pension benefits and free leisure activities.

The group outings, in particular, strengthen the bond and are considered something truly special. This strong sense of community characterizes the spirit of Ticket To The Moon – and it's precisely this spirit that we want to pass on to our global community, our "tribe."

Our employees are just as important to us as our Indonesian roots. That's why we want to give something back: A significant portion of our profits goes directly to our team – as well as to our self-established foundation. With this foundation, we have already been able to implement numerous projects in the areas of ecotourism, medical care, and education , creating many jobs.

Fair trade in practice

In our work and our decisions, we consistently follow the principles of Sociocracy 3.0 – and we also select our trading partners according to the same values.

A fair, regional, and sustainable approach, as well as high product quality, are fundamental prerequisites for our collaboration. Long-term partnerships characterized by a friendly relationship are particularly important to us.

That's why we not only maintain regular, open communication , but also personally visit our external partner companies on-site. Only then can we confidently say:

We only sell what we live and love ourselves.

Ecological and sustainable production

Ticket To The Moon is the first completely PFC-free hammock manufacturer – and our parachute nylon is certified according to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100.

When it comes to environmental protection, our guiding principle has always been: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle – both in Europe and in Bali. Our products are characterized by exceptionally high quality, which is why we offer a 10-year manufacturer's warranty against material and manufacturing defects . With this, we want to take a stand against the throwaway society – and enable our customers to enjoy our products for a lifetime.

In addition to a resource-efficient approach, we also invest specifically in upcycling processes . For example, leftover materials from hammock production are either further processed into environmentally friendly products like Eco Bags or recycled into new fabrics. Anything that can't be meaningfully integrated into our cycle is returned to the value chain by the Balinese recycling pioneer Eco-Bali .

This is how we pursue our green mission for a clean, healthy planet – and remain true to our motto: Nothing is left to waste.
