Running for Rights – unsere Eco Bags beim Children's Marathon in Korea

Running for Rights - Our Eco Bags at the Children's Marathon in Korea

What happens when you dismantle artificial barriers, put aside weighty messages, and simply let children do what they do best? That's right: they run, they laugh, they play – and they naturally make friends, completely without prejudice.

That is precisely the core of the International Children’s Marathon in South Korea. Under the beautiful motto "The most natural, the most like a child," the event has been advocating for the rights and healthy development of children worldwide since 2011. This year, the focus was particularly on strengthening interaction among children with immigrant backgrounds and making diversity tangible through play.

Since running is booming in Korea and the future of children is extremely important to us, it was immediately clear to us: We simply had to be a part of it!

A Strong Team for a Good Cause

When our Korean distributor Trendmecca was contacted by Save the Children Korea for this special sponsorship, we immediately knew: We would support it wholeheartedly! Together, we tackled the project and co-sponsored the official goodie bags just in time for the event on May 2nd at the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium.

Every child and participant who received one of the bags also received an ultra-light companion for the run: our TTTM Eco Bags. What’s special about them? Our Eco Bags are made from leftover fabric from our hammock production. This upcycling not only saves resources but also makes the bags extremely robust, feather-light, and perfect for the kids’ small and big adventures.

Good to know: All marathon participation fees are donated to support children in need worldwide. In South Korea, the project specifically promotes the healthy development of migrant children without secure residency status, as well as education about children's rights and diversity.

Sustainability Meets Joy of Life

For Ticket to the Moon, this collaboration is a project very close to our hearts. Our products have always stood for freedom, nature, and the carefree discovery of the world. We are incredibly proud to have contributed to children laughing together and running away barriers at the event in Incheon – as part of a marathon that brought all of Korea running in 11 cities this year.

The event was a complete success, full of positive energy and radiant faces. A huge thank you goes to our distributor Trendmecca for their great efforts on site and to Save the Children for the fantastic organization!

Moments like these remind us why we do all this. Check out some of the most beautiful impressions directly from the stadium below and let yourself be inspired by the great energy of that day!
