LIGHTEST LOOPS – Ultra-light loops for minimal weight

The loops are very lightweight and can be used to replace the original rope on TTTM hammocks or other gathered-end hammocks as well. I think these are the same ones used for the pro mats. I haven't had much time yet to test the loops extensively, but I'm pretty sure they're strong and durable enough.

They are certainly long enough to easily replace the rope in my "original size" hammock, tie a ridgeline with a larkshead knot to the remaining part of the loop, and clip in a carabiner for the tree straps. But they could be slightly longer if you want to experiment with other connection methods. For example, they aren't long enough to tie your tree straps directly to the loops with a becket hitch, which is sometimes used by lightweight enthusiasts.
