With a few simple steps, your favorite spot will stay looking like new for a long time.

To ensure you enjoy your hammock for many years to come, it’s worth putting in a little effort to care for it. Here are the best tips for cleaning, drying, and storing it.

1. Clean regularly

Usually, it's enough to to air it out or shake it out. If you need to do more:

  • Hand wash with a mild detergent or

  • Delicate cycle in the washing machine (no spin cycle!)

Tip: Remove carabiners and ropes beforehand.

2. Let it dry thoroughly

Moisture is the enemy of all gear. After washing your hammock or on a rainy day, always hang it up hang it up completely to dry, preferably outside in the shade.

3. Store Properly

Your hammock loves to be kept dry, well-ventilated, and in a dark place. Store it:

  • not stored permanently in the compression bag

  • not damp or dirty

  • Feel free to fold it loosely or place it in a breathable bag

4. Check for damage

It's a good idea to do a quick check before every use:

  • Are the seams intact?

  • Are the ropes or straps brittle?

  • Are there any tears in the fabric?

Early detection = a good night's sleep.
